We make it easy for you to plant a redwood through our website. Please click on the Plant a Redwood button in the menu above, or alternatively, navigate to the Get Involved page, and choose Plant a Redwood from the page there.

A grove of redwoods consists of at least 16 saplings and represents a significant contribution toward the fight against climate change. If you would like to plant a grove of at least 16 redwoods, please contact us from the Get Involved page > Plant a Grove menu to learn more.

Absolutely. Businesses as well as schools are encouraged to partner with Carbon Titans as we work to halt and reverse climate change. Please click on the Get Involved link and select the option you are interested in, or contact us to learn more.

All our memorial plaques are the same size, color, font, and style. However, each person who dedicates a redwood will have the option to name their specific tree (e.g. General Sherman, Hyperion), as well as include the name(s) of the honoree, the dates of birth/death, a memorial paragraph, and a headshot for engraving into the plaque. Trees can be dedicated to individuals, couples, in honor of a family, friend, even your beloved pet.

Redwoods need 38-55 inches of rain per year and prefer USDA Zones 5-9, though they can get by with as little as 28 inches of rain, if rain falls regularly during the summer months. Redwoods prefer locations where January lows do not dip below 20-degrees for long periods, and they require unobstructed sunlight. Giant Sequoias prefer to be at least 50 miles inland from the salty sea air. We plant in areas that meet these requirements.

Great question! This is one of the most important things that sets us apart from all other organizations. Carbon Titans provides every donor with the physical location and photo of their tree at the time of planting, and updates the photo and provides measurements in a personalized annual report prepared for each donor. We believe donors should be able to visit the tree they planted and track its progress over time.

You may choose to plant one or more trees. The choice is entirely yours. You many also choose to plant an entire grove, which we consider to be 16+ trees.

Yes, we offer carbon offset plans. Please visit our Get Involved page for more details.

Monitoring of trees begins at the saplings stage, when we nurse and monitor the young trees in a controlled environment. Naturally, some trees don’t survive, but those that do and grow to sufficient size are transplanted when ready. After planting, we conduct our annual site visit and inspection to ensure the trees we planted are thriving, are protected from snow, deer, damaging winds, and re-planted when necessary. Every dedicated redwood tree has an annual report prepared specific to it, which we then provide to the donor(s) via their online account. The report includes updates on height, width, and trunk diameter, as well as a photo of the specific tree in its grove/forest. In addition, donors are free to visit their tree, though we ask that they stay a minimum distance from it and other trees so as to not damage the delicate root structure.

People from around the world are encouraged to join Carbon Titans in the climate change fight. We can accept purchases from most places, subject to US and International Law and sanctions. All transactions are processed in USD.
